The rest of GoodStream serves the record: valuations, audit, tax, reporting. The graph serves the decisions still in front of you. The two most expensive problems in private markets - getting into the right deals and raising the next fund - are both network problems, and both are decided on trust. Because GoodStream works alongside many investors in the same companies, customers can complete each other's files - the missing charter here, the signed SPA there - and every record gets stronger as the graph grows. The same connections that complete the files are the ones that carry deals: the network you can prove is the network you can work.
Permission is the whole ballgame.
Nothing moves without explicit permission from the people who own the data. You choose what is shared and with whom; sharing is initiated by you, not by us; and everyone can see exactly what was shared, by whom, and when. The graph only works if everyone trusts it. That is why we built it this way.
